In Thursday's league challenge, the host Serra Cavaliers volleyball team scored a close 1-0 victory over the St. Bernard Vikings.

The Cavaliers (1-11) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA). The Warriors enter the Santa Fe challenge with a 10-17 record. In their last challenge, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy was tipped by Ramona Convent (Alhambra, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Bishop Conaty-Loretto Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA) in a Santa Fe challenge, on Monday, October 7. St. Bernard will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 3-0 league win over San Gabriel Mission (San Gabriel, CA).
