The Rye Thunderbolts got by the visiting Peyton Panthers football team by a score of 14-7 in Friday's league test.
The Thunderbolts now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ellicott for a 1A Tri-Peaks test on Friday, October 10. Rye will meet a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 51-0 league loss to Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Peyton drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Lions in a 1A Tri-Peaks challenge on Friday, October 10. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Colorado Springs Christian won 24-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Platte Canyon (Bailey, CO)
