The Buckeyes go into the battle with a 15-15 record after their 3-1 league win over Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX).

The Bulldogs now own a 20-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Henderson for a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, October 7. Kilgore will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Lions record now stands at 15-16.
