Prairie City Panthers (Prairie City, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Crane (Crane, OR). The Mustangs come into the 1A High Desert challenge with a 9-4 record.

Next, the Spartans face the Adrian Antelopes (Adrian, OR) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. Pine Eagle will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record. The Antelopes go into the test with a 11-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Powder Valley (North Powder, OR).
