In Wednesday's non-league test, the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), by a count of 6-1.

Next, the Pirates meet the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 31. Appling County will attempt to upgrade on its 23-1 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 21-6 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA).

The Pirates (23-7) will now prepare for their test against Miller Grove (Lithonia, GA). The Wolverines go into the non-league test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Miller Grove held off Thomson (Thomson, GA), 11-1, in a non-league test.
