Virginia High School Volleyball - Abingdon can't hold off Byrd

In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Byrd Terriers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Abingdon Falcons.
The Terriers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Blue Ridge battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Lord Botetourt nudged Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Falcons encounter the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a Mountain 7 battle, on Thursday, October 6. Abingdon will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record. The Generals come into the battle with a 7-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to John Battle (Bristol, VA).
