The Goodrich Hornets volleyball team (Goodrich, TX), was dropped 3-1 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX)

The Yellowjackets (25-10) will now prepare for their bout against Leggett (Leggett, TX). The Pirates go into the bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Leggett was outscored by High Island (High Island, TX), 3-0, in a league bout.

The Hornets now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Spurger for a 1A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, October 7. Goodrich will play a Pirates squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Burkeville (Burkeville, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 9-13.
