The Pioneers come into the match with a 17-10 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Benbrook (Benbrook, TX).

With the loss, Maypearl drops to 3-12 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Clifton (Clifton, TX) to battle the Cubs in a 3A Region III District 17 match on Tuesday, October 11. The Cubs come into the match with a record of 12-9.
