With the win, Whitney upgrades its record to 9-17 on the year. The Wildcats travel to La Vega (Waco, TX) to face the Pirates in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 13. The Pirates go into the outing with a record of 1-12. La Vega lost 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX)

The Panthers now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to West for a 3A Region III District 17 outing on Tuesday, September 13. Maypearl will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Grandview (Grandview, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 18-8.
