Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Cony Rams (Augusta, ME), 9-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 7. Gardiner will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME).

The Rams now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oceanside for a Class B - North challenge on Friday, October 6. Cony will confront a Mariners team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME). The Mariners record now stands at 7-4.
