The Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) softball the host David Emanuel Academy Eagles (Stillmore, GA), 6-4 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Spartans (8-11) will now prepare for their bout against Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The Cougars go into the GIAA 2AA bout with a 16-5 record. In their last bout, Piedmont Academy by Westfield School (Perry, GA), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Central Fellowship Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 10. David Emanuel Academy will confront a Lancers squad coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Trinity Christian School of Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Lancers record now stands at 5-12.
