Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) and the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), witnessed Jenkins County's softball squad prevail over McIntosh County Academy by a count of 8-0.

The War Eagles now sport a 16-5 record. They play next when they host Savannah Christian for a non-league match on Monday, October 9. Jenkins County will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 9-4 league win over Long County (Ludowici, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 17-8.

With the loss, McIntosh County Academy moves to 3-16 on the season. The Buccaneers host Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Region 3 match on Thursday, October 5. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 10-12. Emanuel County Institute won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Dodge County (Eastman, GA)
