The Avon Pirates topped the visiting Corsica/Stickney Jaguars volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, October 4. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Raiders come into the outing with a 16-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Vermillion (Vermillion, SD).

With the loss, Corsica/Stickney drops to 12-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD) to confront the in a B Region 5 game on Monday, October 6.
