The Clay Center Tigers (Clay Center, KS) volleyball held off the host Riley County Falcons (Riley, KS), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 25-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Concordia for a non-league match on Saturday, October 4. Clay Center will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Chapman (Chapman, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 12-9.

The Falcons (18-11) will now prepare for their match against Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS). The Thunder enter the non-league match with a 14-13 record. In their last match, Nemaha Central was tipped by Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS), 2-0, in a league match.
