With the win, Tascosa improves its record to 23-9 on the season. The Rebels host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to encounter the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, October 10. The Plainsmen go into the battle with a record of 22-13.

The Westerners now own a 3-27 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monterey for a 5A Region I District 3 contest on Tuesday, October 7. Lubbock will meet a Plainsmen team coming off a 3-1 league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 22-13.
