Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), observed Tascosa's volleyball team top Lubbock by a count of 3-0.

The Rebels (15-8) will now prepare for their battle against Canyon (Canyon, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Canyon dropped by Liberty (Lubbock, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Westerners now own a 3-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monterey for a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, September 5. Lubbock will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 3-0 league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 19-8.
