The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw Watauga's volleyball squad beat Alexander Central by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Watauga upgrades its record to 9-1 on the year. The Pioneers host Foard (Newton, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-3.
The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host South Caldwell for a bout on Monday, October 10. Alexander Central will play a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 9-9.
