Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV), 9-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Cougars confront the Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) in a Eastern Panhandle challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Jefferson will attempt to move on its 13-0 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 2-2 non-league Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV).
The Applemen now possess a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hedgesville for a Eastern Panhandle challenge on Monday, October 9. Musselman will confront a Eagles team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 7-4.
