Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars face the Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV) in a Eastern Panhandle challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Jefferson will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 1-1 league Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV).

The Applemen now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Martinsburg for a Eastern Panhandle test on Tuesday, September 19. Musselman will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-7.
