In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Broadway Gobblers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Spotswood Trailblazers.
The Gobblers (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 3-9 record.
Next, the Trailblazers clash with the East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Spotswood will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 9-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA).
