The Izard County Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Alpena Leopards to 0 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now possess a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Quitman for a 2A North game on Monday, October 9. Izard County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Yellville-Summit (Yellville, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.

The Leopards (4-17) will now prepare for their game against Marshall (Marshall, AR). The Bobcats enter the 2A North game with a 8-9 record. In their last game, Marshall defeated Cotter (Cotter, AR), 3-0, in a league game.
