The Izard County Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Alpena Leopards to 0 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yellville-Summit for a 2A North game on Monday, September 18. Izard County will meet a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Melbourne (Melbourne, AR). The Panthers record now stands at 9-4.

The Leopards (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Mountain Home Christian Academy (Mountain Home, AR). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Mountain Home Christian Academy dropped by Highland (Hardy, AR), 2-0, in a non-league game.
