In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Tillamook Cheesemakers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Astoria Fishermen.
The Cheesemakers (14-2) will now prepare for their battle against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions come into the 4A Cowapa battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, St. Helens achieved victory over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Fishermen clash with the Banks Braves (Banks, OR) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Astoria will attempt to advance on its 10-7 season record. The Braves come into the battle with a 4-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Marist (Eugene, OR).
