In Thursday's league battle, the host Tillamook Cheesemakers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Astoria Fishermen.
The Cheesemakers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions come into the 4A Cowapa battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, St. Helens lost by Scappoose (Scappoose, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Fishermen clash with the Estacada Rangers (Estacada, OR) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 5. Astoria will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Rangers come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR).
