The St. James Sharks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Sumter Gamecocks to 0 in the Sharks league victory on Thursday.
The Sharks now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanahan for a non-league game on Saturday, October 7. St. James will meet a Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league win over Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC). The Hawks record now stands at 10-8.
The Gamecocks (10-8) will now prepare for their game against Conway (Conway, SC). The Tigers enter the AAAAA Region 5 game with a 18-6 record. In their last game, Conway was dropped by Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
