The Valley Vikings soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting West Mesa Mustangs to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Saturday.
The Vikings now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Bernalillo for a 4A District 6 bout on Tuesday, October 8. Valley will play a Spartans squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Spartans record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, West Mesa moves to 1-9 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Jaguars in a 5A District 5 bout on Wednesday, October 9. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Atrisco Heritage Academy lost 6-0 in their recent league bout against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM)
