The Wayne Falcons football team (Corydon, IA), was beaten 21-8 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA)
The Cardinals (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Hawks come into the A District 6 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Lynnville-Sully achieved victory over Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA), 33-12, in a league challenge.
The Falcons now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madrid for a A District 6 challenge on Friday, October 13. Wayne will meet a Tigers team coming off a 41-0 league win over North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-0.
