The Algona Bulldogs football team (Algona, IA), was knocked off 38-14 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA)
The Cubs (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats come into the 3A District 2 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Humboldt knocked off North Polk (Alleman, IA), 24-14, in a league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ballard for a 3A District 2 challenge on Friday, October 14. Algona will meet a Bombers team coming off a 42-13 league loss to North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 1-6.
