Texas High School Volleyball - Gilmer tips Carthage

The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the visiting Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX), saw Gilmer's volleyball squad nip Carthage by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Gilmer upgrades its record to 17-19 on the year. The Buckeyes host Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-23. Chapel Hill lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Spring Hill (Longview, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 20-15 record. They play next when they host Henderson for a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, October 11. Carthage will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Lions record now stands at 18-16.
