The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) and the visiting Van Buren County Warriors (Keosauqua, IA), saw Central Lee's volleyball squad nip Van Buren County by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Central Lee upgrades its record to 10-24 on the year. The Hawks host Notre Dame (Burlington, IA) to play the Nikes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Nikes go into the bout with a record of 23-14. Notre Dame lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against West Burlington (West Burlington, IA)

The Warriors now own a 8-18 record. They play next when they travel to Davis County for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 7. Van Buren County will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Clarke (Osceola, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-21.
