The Oak Park Northmen overwhelmed the host North Kansas City Hornets softball squad by a count of 18-0 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Northmen meet the Park Hill Trojans (Kansas City, MO) in a Class 4 District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Oak Park will attempt to upgrade on its 10-19 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 19-6 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Lee's Summit West (Lee's Summit, MO).

The Hornets (3-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (St. Joseph, MO). The Indians go into the Class 4 District 16 challenge with a 8-15 record. In their last challenge, Central was routed by Park Hill South (Riverside, MO), 10-9, in a league challenge.
