The Staunton River Golden Eagles edged the visiting Liberty Minutemen volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a Blue Ridge game, on Tuesday, October 8. Staunton River will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record. The Colonels go into the game with a 1-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).

The Minutemen (1-13) will now prepare for their game against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees go into the Seminole game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, Brookville was edged by Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA), 3-0, in a league game.
