The Athenian Owls volleyball squad (Danville, CA), dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Bentley Phoenix (Lafayette, CA)
The Phoenix (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Head-Royce (Oakland, CA). The Jayhawks enter the Bay Counties - East contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Head-Royce was knocked off by Ripon Christian (Ripon, CA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Owls encounter the Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA) in a Bay Counties - East battle, on Wednesday, October 8. Athenian will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 14-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Brave Christian (Dublin, CA).
