Columbia River Rapids (Vancouver, WA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Hockinson Hawks (Brush Prairie, WA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Rapids (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgefield (Ridgefield, WA). The Spudders come into the 2A Greater St. Helens challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Ridgefield beat Washougal (Washougal, WA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hawks play the Mark Morris Monarchs (Longview, WA) in a 2A Greater St. Helens game, on Thursday, October 9. Hockinson will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Monarchs go into the game with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Woodland (Woodland, WA).
