The Wheeling Wildcats volleyball squad (Wheeling, IL), was edged 2-1 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL)

The Grenadiers (11-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Knights enter the Mid-Suburban challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Prospect got by Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL), 2-0, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palatine for a Mid-Suburban test on Thursday, October 9. Wheeling will face a Pirates team coming off a 2-0 league win over Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 20-4.
