Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Waukegan (Waukegan, IL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Waukegan was beaten by Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Grenadiers meet the Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) in a Mid-Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Elk Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 0-0 non-league Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL).
