Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) and the host Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM), observed Kirtland Central's volleyball team top Gallup by a count of 3-0.
The Broncos (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Chieftains enter the 4A District 1 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Shiprock notched a victory over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM), 3-2, in a league contest.
Next, the Bengals meet the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 contest, on Thursday, October 9. Gallup will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 6-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM).
