The Gryphons (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC). The Eagles enter the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest with a 0-18 record. In their last contest, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy was tipped by North Rowan (Spencer, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mariners meet the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 9. Jackson Day will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Raptors go into the battle with a 19-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC).
