Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) and the visiting Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), saw Cumberland's soccer squad hold off Chariho by a count of 2-1.

The Clippers (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Rebels enter the Division 1 battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, South Kingstown was edged by East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Chargers battle the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a Division 1 battle, on Thursday, October 10. Chariho will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 8-0 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).
