Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) and the visiting Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), observed Lunenburg Central's volleyball team top Buckingham by a count of 3-0.

The Chargers (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA). The Eagles enter the James River contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Prince Edward County was knocked off by Altavista (Altavista, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Knights meet the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River contest, on Thursday, October 10. Buckingham will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Statesmen enter the contest with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, VA).
