In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Mendocino Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Point Arena Pirates.

The Cardinals (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Potter Valley (Potter Valley, CA). The Bearcats enter the North Central III challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Potter Valley was beaten by Laytonville (Laytonville, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Tomales Braves (Tomales, CA) in a North Central III challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Point Arena will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Braves enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Round Valley (Covelo, CA).
