With the win, Mendocino improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cardinals host Willows (Willows, CA) to face the Honkers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 14. The Honkers go into the test with a record of 9-7. Willows lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Pierce (Arbuckle, CA)

The Pirates now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tomales for a North Central III test on Tuesday, September 17. Point Arena will face a Braves squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Round Valley (Covelo, CA). The Braves record now stands at 1-3.
