The Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) volleyball overcame the visiting Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.
With the win, Thomas Walker upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Pioneers travel to J.I. Burton (Norton, VA) to face the Black Raiders in a Cumberland outing on Tuesday, October 10. The Black Raiders go into the outing with a record of 6-5. J.I. Burton lost 3-2 in their recent league outing against Eastside (Coeburn, VA)
The Black Bears now own a 16-7 record. They play next when they host Buckhorn for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 10. Harlan County will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Clay County (Manchester, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-12.
