The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA) and the host Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA), observed Valwood's softball team prevail over Deerfield-Windsor by a tally of 14-3.

The Valiants (5-8) will now prepare for their bout against Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA). The Panthers go into the GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 3 bout with a 8-9 record. In their last bout, Tiftarea Academy knocked off Brookwood (Thomasville, GA), 9-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Westwood Wildcats (Camilla, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 10. Deerfield-Windsor will attempt to advance on its 3-15 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Southland Academy (Americus, GA).
