In Wednesday's non-league match, the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) volleyball squad tipped the host Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA), by a count of 3-2.
Next up, the Governors battle the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood match, on Thursday, October 10. Nelson County will attempt to move on its 2-11 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 4-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Altavista (Altavista, VA).
The Pioneers (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Lancers enter the Seminole match with a 4-10 record. In their last match, Amherst County was tipped by Glass (Lynchburg, VA), 3-0, in a league match.
