Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Rio Vista Rams (Rio Vista, CA) and the host Highlands Scots (North Highlands, CA), observed Rio Vista's volleyball team top Highlands by a tally of 3-1.

The Rams (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against San Juan (Citrus Heights, CA). The Spartans enter the Sierra Delta League contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, San Juan was beaten by Vacaville Christian (Vacaville, CA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Scots meet the Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA) in a Sierra Delta League contest, on Monday, October 14. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Mavericks enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Woodland Christian (Woodland, CA).
