St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) boosters left the game pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Sartans (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Los Alamos went down by Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belen for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. Grants will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
