The Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO) volleyball knocked off the visiting Aspen Skiers (Aspen, CO), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Cowboys now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Grand Valley for a 3A Western Slope bout on Friday, October 10. Gunnison will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Olathe (Olathe, CO). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-12.

Next, the Skiers battle the Vail Christian Saints (Edwards, CO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 14. Aspen will attempt to move on its 13-4 season record. The Saints enter the contest with a 15-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Soroco (Oak Creek, CO).
