The Giles Spartans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now possess a 16-1 record. They play next when they travel to Grayson County for a Mountain Empire outing on Tuesday, October 14. Giles will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-0 league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Fort Chiswell drops to 4-12 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to play the Maroons in a Mountain Empire outing on Tuesday, October 14.
