The Spartans now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire outing on Thursday, September 18. Giles will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Fort Chiswell drops to 3-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers host George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to confront the Maroons in a Mountain Empire game on Thursday, September 18.
